Discussing the joint cooperation between Dar Al-Ma’aref for Research and Statistics and the Center for Women’s Studies at Hadramout University

on Tuesday afternoon, Mr. Saeed Bakran, chairman of Dar Al Ma’arif for Research and Statistics, met with Dr. Ahlam Ben Breek, director of the center for Women’s Studies at Hadramout University.

Where he welcomed Dr. Ahlam, paying tribute to the visits that aim at creating relations and exchange experiences between institutions and competent research departments.

The meeting also discussed the joint cooperation between the two sides in terms of research, training and studies related to women, which contribute to the development process and help decision makers to extrapolate information and studies on sound scientific bases and solid statistics.

During the meeting, Mr. Bakran reviewed the programs and activities conducted by al-Dar in addition to the studies, scientific researches and seminars which were held during the past year, as well as programs and training courses which aim to provide young people with scientific and practical experiences that increase their abilities.

He also pointed out that al-Dar carries out training programs to improve the knowledge skills of the young people to translate the aspirations of Hadramout of 2018 in achieving the process of development and empowerment,and that women have a large share in these programs.

Bakran added that Dar Al-Ma’arif’s administration supports the women’s sector very much and in fully convinced that hadrami women have played a leading role in the history of Hadramout, and that this role can be revived if the civil society organizations have the will to rehabilitate them and discover their talents.

Dr. Ahlam Ben Breek, Director of the Center for Women’s Studies at Hadramout University, have also expressed her willing to cooperate with Dar Al-Ma’arif for research and statistics, which would create an integrated relationship with civil society organizations to develop and improve research, studies, training and rehabilitation, especially in the women’s sector.
